Living With Spina Bifida
by Robert M. Hensel
I grew up with a birth defect known as spina bifida, a disability that affects my sense of balance, causing me to walk with a limp. Not only does it affect the function of the legs, but it also has an impact on the kidneys, causing them to deteriorate. The disability has had its ups and downs.
As a young child, I can remember the way other children would look at me and stare because of the way that I walked. There were many times that my schoolmates would laugh at me and call me names simply because of their lack of understanding of why I was a little different, especially back in the mid 70s and early 80s. Children then were just unwilling to take the time to learn why one of their classmates might walk, speak or seem noticeably different from themselves.
Now that I am an adult, I have noticed that the stares and names have begun to fade, and judgments that once were negative have begun to turn toward acceptance. The signing of the ADA
(Americans Disability Act) has played a great part in breaking down some of those barriers that, as a child, left me to fight a war that seemed to have no end. Now I look beyond what I can't do and focus on what I CAN. I have learned that limitations open doors that have been closed, showing other ways to meet our needs. I have always looked at life as a challenge, grasping each obstacle with open arms. There is nothing in this world that comes easy. I must stand tall and look forward, to be ever so ready for what still lies ahead.
People often feel sorry for those who were born with some type of disability. But their compassion is misplaced. Yes, I may not be able to run as fast or perform certain tasks, but my disability gives me a better look at life and all that's around me. I want to be seen not as a disability but as a person who has, and will continue to, bloom. So I decided to become a advocate on behalf of disabled Americans, to fight for our rights that for so long have been ignored. I feel that it only takes one powerful voice to change the minds of many nations, and as long as I have a mouth to use and a mind to think I will continue to work to bring peace upon the disabled community.

connect us to a world of peace."
"PEACE OF MIND"
Carry me out the ocean,
where my drifting thoughts flow free.
Guide them to a far distant land,
that only the mind can see.
There I shall paint a great portrait,
of what this world should be.
A place without senseless wars,
and human poverty.

Cancer Never Sleeps or
Does It?

Rev. Munro

Feb. 7, 2002
Attn.: Rev. Munro
After the discovery of two spots in my left lung through X-rays and Cat scans I was diagnosed with lung cancer by Dr. Charles Yamokoski of the Tampa Bay Oncology Center in Clearwater, Florida
on August 20, 2001. At that time I was informed that cancer never slept and I had between six months and a year to live if I did not have chemotherapy. With treatments I could have a
projected life span of between two to five years. This diagnosis really came as no shock to me as I have been a chain smoker for over 40 years.
On Sept. 7, 2001 I heard that a healer by the name of Rev. Munro would be at the Temple of Love & Healing in St. Petersburg, Florida on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001. I attended the temple that night
and after hearing Rev. Mary Mencik from San Jose, California give a brief synopsis of her healing experience with Rev. Munro I made an appointment to see him on Sept. 10 and again on Sept. 17
to receive a healing.
To be perfectly honest, due to the way I had lived my life, I felt that I would be the last person God would want to heal. But as I had already decided that I was not going to go
through the ordeal of chemotherapy treatments just to prolong my life for a couple of years, I felt I had nothing to lose and maybe a lot to gain from just a couple of sessions with Rev. Munro.
After my second session with Rev. Munro I confided to a friend who had accompanied me that "I have the strangest feeling that God is all around me and I will be healed." I also told Rev. Mary
that I felt God had sent Rev. Munro to Florida for me.
After my second session with Rev. Munro I had an appointment on Oct. 8, 2001 with the Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida and had another Cat scan. At that time I was told that the
spots in my lung had decreased in size. On January 8, 2002 I again returned to the Lee Moffitt Cancer Center for a follow up exam and had another Cat scan and I was informed
that the spots were completely gone.
I guess what I am trying to say is if there is anyone out there who has the opportunity to receive God's blessings and healing through an instrument of God like Rev. Munro and
does not take advantage of this opportunity then they are making the biggest mistake they will ever make in their life and it could very well be the final mistake of their life.
Thank you again Rev. Mary and Rev. Munro.

"We are from Santa Clara, California and have been UCM Ministers since 1980. We first met Rev. Munro 21 years ago and received healing treatments from him after a devastating automobile accident."
"Rev. Munro is also a UCM Minister, and he has been the channel for blessings into the lives of many. Mary would not be alive today if it were not for one of those miracles. The Light from God that flows through him has completely changed our lives in every area. We have received much more than just a physical healing through him."
"Rev. Munro is the most humble and lovely soul we have ever encountered, and he has now been Called to travel with his healing Work. We are seeking opportunities on his behalf. It is our honor and privilege to write this letter, and to assist him in sharing God's Love and Blessings, in what ever way we can."
