continued from page 11 DISCLAIMER: I don’t intend on doing this. I am just safely testing
the extremes - the worst possible scenario. -K *********************************** Dear Ken, Thank you for your wonderful thought provoking letter.
With your permission I will add this to the next electronic issue of New
Beginnings. However in the mean time I would personally like to respond to
some of your queries from my own belief system... First, it would be interesting to know your personal
definition of reincarnation and Higher Self. Obviously you are questioning
these theories (as you understand them) with an excellent hypothetical
question... Can you reject reincarnation and stay forever in the afterlife
afterdeath or manipulate the outcome of your existence upon death of this
physical life? Second, I would like to share my beliefs on that
subject, since I believe there are many holes in the theory of
reincarnation, Higher Self and eternal nirvana. To me there is no such
thing as reincarnation because I subscribe to the Sethian theory that we
are multidimensional and live in a simultaneous world of action. Multidimensional meaning that there are many realities
and we are part of them. Such as the dream world, the inner world, the
physical world... to give an idea of the scope of reality. Simultaneous meaning we subscribe to time here in the
physical but the inner world (such as the dream world or afterlife world)
does not recognize time in a sequences of events such as past, present,
and/or future. All time occurs at once. We live in the NOW or totally in
the present moment where everything is happening at once. We just choose
to focus on physical life and do not often allow the other existences into
our physically reality. And as far as a Higher Self (which I prefer to call the
Whole Self), I believe our current physical life is part and parcel to it
yet retains the individuality we create in this life. There are no
boundaries or separations from our Whole Self. We can choose to believe
there are but it would make no difference in the reality of things. Much
like there are no separations to our body as a whole. One might call the
heart, eye, or skin separate, but each compose the body to make it whole. And what is the state of eternal nirvana? If it is
bliss and all knowing, then we have really attained an end to existence.
There would be no more action, no reason to experience. It would be, for
example, as if the molecules and atoms would have accomplished all there
is to accomplish and cease to spin. There would truly be death. Except for this theory of nirvana, as I understand it,
with all I have said above... you are already living each and every theory
you postulated. And depending on your "intent focus" and
"beliefs", it is possible to cross over or jump into that
experience (reality) and live it NOW. Thirdly, maybe reading ‘The Nature of Personal Reality’ a Seth Book
by Jane Roberts will add to more understanding of the above concepts. You
will find this at http://spiritual-endeavors.org/
bookstore/Seth-books/ or your local bookstore.

continued from page 6 Research has shown that alkaline music (such as
soothing classical, East Indian, harp music and chant) actually increases
the body’s ability to ward off disease. People undergoing surgery require less anaesthesia,
awaken from anaesthesia more quickly and with less side effects, and heal
more rapidly when healing music is played before, during and after the
surgical procedure. Patients recovering from heart attacks and strokes
respond much more quickly to treatment when soothing music is played in
their rooms. Many studies have shown the incredible effects that music has
on chronic pain. People suffering from back pain, fibromyalgia, chronic
fatigue syndrome, and pain from injuries; all benefit from using music.
Physical therapy is much more effective when combined with music. And burn
victims experience much less pain when music they choose and enjoy is
employed during their treatments. Individuals suffering from depression need less
medication and have more success in psychotherapy when music is added to
their course of treatment. Grief, loneliness, even anger; are all managed
much better when appropriate music is added to therapy. Autistic children
& children diagnosed with attention deficit disorder all react
positively to music therapy. Kids with learning disabilities show
remarkable improvement in mathematics, reading and reasoning skills when
they are exposed to appropriate music. The results are magnified many
times when these same children have an opportunity to make music. That’s true of anyone suffering from nearly any
malady. Making music - the act of creating melodious sound - is an
incredibly powerful healing tool. Physical, mental and emotional
challenges are met so much more easily when one can make music! It doesn’t
have to be performance quality - it just has to be from the heart.
Singing, humming, toning, whistling, beating a drum, playing a flute,
harp, guitar or piano - anything. When music is made out of love,
incredible healing occurs. On the other hand, music that is negative, or filled
with hate or fear, can be emotionally and physically damaging. It inspires
more fear, and from fear comes imbalance and disease. And just as the
sound of a jackhammer sets up painful vibrations in our ears, music with
discordant frequencies or hateful lyrics sets up dissonant vibrations in
our bodies and souls. We must be conscious of the negative effects of
raucous sounds and negative music, and counteract them with positive music
created out of love. The health of the physical body is inextricably tied to
our emotional, mental and spiritual health. Music is a powerful catalyst
for healing because it touches the very core of humanity... our souls.
With music, we can remember our connection to the Creator and the powerful
Healer within. We can take control of our health and our lives as we enjoy
