continued from page 11 Developing an Inner Life

The first thing is simply to make time for yourself. Treat yourself as precious and important and find times to be alone in quiet reflection upon your life. Many people meditate to gain deeper insights about themselves. This is certainly immensely valuable. However, if you feel uncomfortable with meditation at this stage, then simply creating moments in the day when you can ponder and wonder can be deeply beneficial.

At several points in the day, try simply closing your eyes and taking a deep breathe. Turn your attention inward and remember whatever it is you need to, and as you let your breath out exhale all your tension and concerns. David Kundtz, in his excellent book "Stopping", calls these brief moments in the day "Stillpoints". They are easier to do than meditation because they only take a few seconds. However, if you do about fifteen or so of these a day, it can make a tremendous difference to your inner calm and perspective on life.

You can also do what Kundtz calls "Stopovers". These are slightly longer breaks lasting from several minutes to several hours, where you take time to specifically do NOTHING. This is important. There is no agenda. You simply give yourself time to BE. You listen to your body and what it has to say.

You listen to your inner intuition and gradually develop the ability to hear its valuable insights. You develop Openness and learn to by-pass the critical part inside you that undermines your efforts to follow your heart’s desire with so-called "realistic" thinking. By giving yourself more time to simply be and experience your own "beingness" without preconditions, you gradually awaken to what your soul’s purpose is, one step at a time.

continued from page 3 Applying the Law of Love

you then say that you are not the creator but another must be the creator. As you make this statement you deny your own divinity and that my beloved friends is the reason why judgment takes you away from God. Not because God dislikes or disapproves of your judgment, but because you deny your very own Divinity with every judgment you make! To judge others or to disallow others is to believe that they can in some way influence your experience. As you believe that others can influence your experience, it means that you need to exert energy into resisting that which you believe may harm you or effect you in some way. What we are saying to you is this - No other being can exert influence upon your experience unless you have attracted them to you by way of the Law of Attraction. Furthermore, we would also say to you, that everything you disallow within others is something that you either disallow of yourself or it is linked to a belief that is limiting you in some way. Every judgment is about your lack of love for yourself and literally has nothing to do with that other person or situation.....

As love is the first Principle of Creation, it is also the thing by which you can measure your spiritual growth. There are many tools that are available to you, many books, much knowledge that you can gain concerning things of a spiritual nature. However, all of these things, all of the books and all of the hours of meditation cannot compete with experience. It is not words that teach , it is experience that teaches. It is your ability to put love into practice that determines your growth, nothing else.

Love is not about being kind to people and it is certainly not about ingratiating yourself in order to be seen to be loving. Love is about being authentic, being accepting of yourself and of the other.  Many of you look at the world and see it as a terrible place that has fallen from grace and as a place that is full of heartless, Godless, lost people who are causing and creating ruin. We would say unto you that none of this is true.  Although that it is true that the majority of humanity has forgotten who they are, but this was all part of the plan! Each of you have chosen to come into this physical experience in order to master creating in this dimension. In doing so, you knew in advance that you would forget, and that others would forget and that it would probably take you some time before you would start remembering your purpose for being here. You did not come to Earth because you were not worthy of some ‘higher’ or ‘better’ place, you came here because the greater you, your greater all knowing, broader, wiser self wanted the challenge! Not all souls choose this challenge. So far from it being the ‘unworthy’ who come to Earth. It is those very beings who have already mastered creation in other worlds that choose to come into the experience of separation in order to develop mastery. Once you are truly able to see your self as one who has chosen to Master life on Earth, you will begin also to acknowledge who those around you truly are. The more you either inwardly or outwardly acknowledge those around you for who they are, the more peace and harmony you will experience as you move into an experience of allowing, an experience of acceptance, an experience of love. Love is part of your higher purpose, love is the basis of all creation, it is the first principle. Without it you cannot create your hearts desires. For all who lack love for others, you lack love for yourself and as you lack love for yourself, you lack acceptance, you lack allowing and without allowing nothing can  continue bottom of page 15
